Think I will go with the treats idea I know the dogs pretty well so I am fairly confident there are no allergies. I will include an ingredients list with them though so the owners can check. Just need to decide what to make now!
Those cookies look delicious BorderTerrier I like the ribbon too - I might steal that idea How long do they keep? That is my biggest worry as I don't want them all going horrid before I've had a chance to give them out!
About a week to a couple of weeks in an airtight container in a dry place, if I remember rightly
I decided to make BorderTerrier's cookies in the end I made them last night
I upped the amounts a bit to make enough for all the dogs, I had just exactly the right amount to give each dog 3 biscuits - poor Alfie had to make do with only having the crappy little rectangle I made from the leftovers! . They passed his taste test though.
Some of the finished ones before I dropped them off on my rounds
This is going back 30 years (or more!)!! No-one had told us (or, I suppose, the dogs) that chocolate was BAD! For about six years my mother's dog had to have regular medication, twice a day. My mother always gave the dog the tablets hidden in a (melted) square of Bournville Chocolate: that amounted to a hell of a lot of chocolate over the years! Again, no ill effects.
Its my mums dog thats doing well from me. Had vouchers to use in Tescos for money off dog food + a voucher for free tray in pets at home so she has 2 lily kitchen tins and a wainwright tray for 'free'!!
Mine are getting a few toys and treats.
I also ordered some Turkey mince from paleoridge so they will have something a little different for Christmas day

caz2golden: Sorry not on much my PC is sending me around the bend every time I use mouse it double clicks when I only single clicked! Part of me is hoping it is a windows issue that will get updated rather than just PC getting old and broken!

alfiemummy: It's most likely your mouse that needs replacing Caz - that's happened to me twice now and both times it's been fixed by getting a new mouse

tonib: Sounds like it was a good job we didn't have Roman as a kitten then. He's never misbehaved like that, only his first Xmas with us when he half-inched the stuffing! - I hope that's not famous last words!

tonib: Lexie is another matter but usually not breakables - except potentially of herself when she fell behind the large display cabinet/sideboard on being left alone for the 1st time in our dining room aged 2.5 years!!!

tonib: She jumped on top (via the table I believe) & managed to fall between it & the wall & appeared to be suspended by her head part way down (the gap narrowed!) I had to get a burly neighbour in to help move it, quickly moving weight/breakables as pos. 1st

tonib: She was fine but got checked by vet just in case! That was a heart stopping time, especially her cries!

lotsofcats: I can remember when that happened with Lexi.
