Hi peeps, can't believe how fast the time goes, but had a peek in at long last.Skip will soon be 15,his gotcha day from the RSPCA is 22nd October, and we will have had him 14 years. He is doing well, his back left leg is a bit weaker now,he tends to use it for pivoting on,and it's probably the result of pelting up the garden steps to chase away cats. He also has his cough after drinking water etc,but that is through his throat muscles weakening with age.He also now has long deep sleeps in-between his walks, which he still enjoys, and he particularly loves his walks in the woods or near the Spa end of the beach in the rock pools. We had a lovely holiday in a rented bungalow in Keswick in July, near the path up to Latrigg, and the back garden led up onto the cinder track and Fitz Park.Skip nearly gave us a heart attack shortly after arriving though, by legging it up the garden before I had chance to change his address disc on his collar, luckily I spotted him coming back through the next doors garden. Must say it was quite a panicky 10 minutes.
Sounds like skip is doing well for his age, hope it continues. Also sounds like you had a good holiday, I'd like to go to Keswick, heard it's really dog friendly, so would be good for Samson.
Speaking of Samson he injured himself a few weeks ago, soft tissue damage on his left hip area so was on loxicom (didn't react well to it however so took him off it) and rest. He's pretty much back to normal now but has some behavioural issues from it now (main one is he's afraid to go up stairs) so we are working on that. We have managed to him up the bottom three. We are being patient and rewarding him so hopefully he will do it again in his own time.
Nothing new about Mario, other than he is still a cuddly cat!
As for me I am currently in London at the moment with my friend, a late birthday present off my mum
Good to hear Skip is doing well, he is such a good age and sounds like he is still very active. Mums dog is now 14 but is very wobbly, can still pull like a traction engine though when she puts her mind to it!

So glad to see you back migsy and skip is doing ok. 😊I have had skip in my thoughts as I had noticed you had not been on the forum for a while although we all have very busy lives I was wondering if skip was ok 😊 Sounds like you had a lovely holiday 😊 Glad to know you are both ok x
boxerluver30 thank you, yes,we are very fortunate with Skip,he still has that spark. Poor Samson, hope he is much better soon, slow and steady is often the answer,he will get there, you are obviously doing everything right for him.Enjoy your treat to London, its quite a while since we last visited, love it. Keswick was voted most dog friendly place, and we go every year with Skip.We always rent a place near Fitz Park,it's a huge beautiful park. Thank you caz2golden,Skip is so lucky, most dogs of his and your mum's dogs age have some debilitating problem like arthritis ,cataracts, deafness or incontinence which is so sad. He was like a young dog on the beach this evening,he really loves it, especially the rock pools and meeting other dogs. So sorry you were worried about Skip chantel, I know what you mean,as we were worried about one of Skips pals we hadn't seen since before last Christmas, we were sure something must have happened, Fosters owner was thinking the same about Skip, but we bumped into them in the woods at the weekend, and the dogs faces were a picture, they were so happy to see each other.
scallywag: why ? did they get out the bed wrong side ? or was it the parking and the weather
