It sounds horrendous! The footage on t.v. and pics in the newspapers are unbelievable. We had s taste of a scary journey home in flash flooding recently, and I have never been so terrified in my life.So I can't imagine how these poor people are coping.
Sadly I heard a couple of day ago that it isn't only affecting the flooded areas but it has a knock on effect to other areas of Texas in a different way. We heard on Friday that a neighbour of ours & her husband were visiting her son & family in Texas, clear of the flood area (can't remember where) & sadly she passed away (unexpectedly) in her sleep. Air transport is being diverted away from Houston to other airports & rescue services are also having to use airfields outside the flood area which of course has a knock on effect on those airports. As a result it is getting even more complicated getting her (& family) home for a funeral. I know that's not in the same category of the direct impact of the flood but it is adding to the distress of the family
Happy days with Roman, Osiris & Lexie (remembering Chloe & Penny)

Sending positive thoughts x it is just heartbreaking ☹️I couldn't even bear to watch the news last night. My heart goes out to each and every one of you and your furbabies x and the emergency services that are putting their own life's at risk xx
Sending positive thoughts her way, hope she is OK x. I have been watching the aftermath of the hurricane on the news and It looks awful, and yes it isn't just that area that is being affected apparently. Think there are 18 confirmed fatalities so far . Must be terrifying for them. cazypops there are a lot of people trying to save pets there, I have seen on FB quite a few dogs/cats/horses being rescued. I'm not sure about wild animals however, hope they are being helped too
caz2golden: On walk today saw a dead branch hanging from a tree over a road. Probably been there a while but have not noticed before! Who do you report it too, tree would be owned by whoever has the field but the branch is over highway?
