Really quiet easy. It has a swivel head, on the carpet head and it's so slim. I have a hat/coat rack in the hall and I can even clean under it without having to move it, and risk it falling on my head, like it usually does.
It's also really easy to take apart to clean, and change to different components. It came with a mini motorized head (dog brush) a dusting wand, crevice tool, upholstery tool and another one that looks like the upholstery tool but has bristles. Plus 2 batteries and dual charger, so I can charge both at the same time, or just charge one in situ on the cleaner.
You can get the fuchsia coloured one that is also the pet one but only has the one battery, so if you don't quite finish what your doing when the bat runs out you've got to wait for 3.5 hours until it recharges or get your corded cleaner out, but it's about £100 cheaper.
I've not tried it on the car as yet, but I bet it will do a good job, especially if I use the dog brush and then the crevice tool to finish off like I did with the stairs.
The only drawback is the size of dust container on it, but that is really easy to empty so not too much of a problem.
Sounds brilliant cazypops, we've the Meile cat & dog cabled vac. The cable is really long & it has slim heads but we also have a small handheld (Black & Decker) that does the small jobs including cat blankets etc before putting all the cat hairs in the washing machine! If we need to replace the Miele it may well be worth considering the Shark. We've got their floor steam cleaner which us good.
I had the option of a their steam cleaner as a free gift tonib, but I already have one (different model) but when you next come over you can have a look at the shark and see for yourself what it's like.

alfiemummy: It's most likely your mouse that needs replacing Caz - that's happened to me twice now and both times it's been fixed by getting a new mouse

tonib: Sounds like it was a good job we didn't have Roman as a kitten then. He's never misbehaved like that, only his first Xmas with us when he half-inched the stuffing! - I hope that's not famous last words!

tonib: Lexie is another matter but usually not breakables - except potentially of herself when she fell behind the large display cabinet/sideboard on being left alone for the 1st time in our dining room aged 2.5 years!!!

tonib: She jumped on top (via the table I believe) & managed to fall between it & the wall & appeared to be suspended by her head part way down (the gap narrowed!) I had to get a burly neighbour in to help move it, quickly moving weight/breakables as pos. 1st

tonib: She was fine but got checked by vet just in case! That was a heart stopping time, especially her cries!
